Friday Night Lights-Part II

This video shows a little of Cutter's personality. He inherited the eating gene from the Campbell side of the family. His Pops and Daddy can put away the food. This video shows his many talents. Eating a hot dog and getting down to the band at the same time. Nothing is going to keep him from that hot dog. What a cutie pie!!!!

Friday Night Lights-Part I

It's that time of year again! Football Friday Nights! We were fortunate enough to have Clark volunteer to drive the band trailer from Goldthwaite to Bedford. It only took 4 hrs driving 60mph with 3 buses following. Oh yeah and of course our favorite 3 year olds went along. We had a great time. We played at Pennington Field. We got to spend a lot of time up in the press box with one of our friends who does the radio broadcast of the game. The perks were all the cokes and popcorn two little boys could eat. In the video above, we are listening to the band warm up. Carsyn can't decide if the is going to play football or baseball to the music. So as you see he decided football, then baseball, then football again where he makes a snap and of course there is Cutter coming in for the quarterback sack! We had a BALL! even when we got home at 3am..we were all in good spirits. You may have to turn off my AC/DC below to hear the video.

Birthday LOOT!

My in laws got me this great book! I love to read about the ranches and Cutter and Carsyn like it too!

My new COACH purse from my mom and dad-way nice and totally unexpected! I love it.

My favorite movie and some punk rocker shoes that my sister claims is my style. I don't know about that.

My new bumper from my boys. I guess they are afraid I'm going to back into something. JK I love it. Also my new laptop which is my birthday, xmas, valentines, easter, presidents day, mothers day, and anniversary present for a long time LOL! I had a great birthday and got too many nice things. I also got a little birthday money..wonder what I should get? It seems I got quite a bit already.

But what would any woman want from the 3 men she loves most? Flowers? Jewelry? Chocolate? NOOOO! How about a balloon bouquet with a JOHN DEERE TRACTOR balloon right in the middle? I could tell the ones Clark picked out and the ones the boys had picked out. It was too cute of an idea!

Goodbye Energy

On our daily run...well they run and I walk!

We're #2(they mean #1 but twins lives revolve around the number 2)

Cattle guard: Cutter says "I can do it myself" Grandmother-does this sound familiar?

Some beautiful scenery on our walk.

That's the boys at the bottom of the hill getting on "their mark". They have watched entirely too much Track and Field on the Olympics. I'm going to have to invest in some starting blocks if this continues. They race all the way to the top to slap my hand.

My Monday runeth over into my Tuesday!

Great! Tuesday isn't looking any better than Monday. I woke up with a migraine and that is never a good sign. The boys seem to understand that my head hurts..maybe its the crazy looking cold mask that I am wearing around the house. Or maybe it has just scared them into behaving. The great thing about having a migraine is "Summer under the Stars" on Turner Classic Movies. I got to watch Casablanca last night. Cutter even watched it...that kid is so like me. I guess I had better run. I can see one crying on the trampoline. I never in my life would imagine that jumping on that trampoline would turn into my own personalized version of cage fighting.

It has been a MONDAY!

BOY, it has been a Monday! I realized that I haven't blogged in some time but I have desperately been trying to get us all back on a schedule. Today was Clark's first day back to school with kids. I had to be in Brownwood to register the boys and me for MOPS by 8:30am. I am so looking forward to getting back in with my group of MOPS friends. A good place for me to go where everyone understands what I am going through. There are quite a few moms with twins...there were 4 of us with twins last year and since then a lady has had triplets. The boys are getting ready for their first day at Mother's Day Out on Thursday here in Goldthwaite. They will be quite busy this fall going here and there. Anyways today has been full of fights and squabbles. I have never heard so much bickering. They even decided to have a full on fist fight at a play date at the park today. I think it's time for some time away from each other. I included some pictures above because I finally realized that they have no baby left to them. They look like little boys now instead of my sweet chubby cheeked little baby boys. They would say "oh gosh mom" if they could read this. They are growing up and I feel this time slipping away. It hit me today that I would be taking them to the first day of kindergarten in two years. Two years will fly by! I'm a little sad today but grateful to be able to be at home with them..even when they drive me crazy.
On a more humorous note, Carsyn told a man on the chip aisle in Walmart today that "his mommy says bad words". The man laughed and I was embarrassed. Where does this kid come up with this stuff? My birthday is on Thursday so they have been singing Happy Birthday every chance they get. Carsyn has said he bought me a new TV at a store and Cutter said he is getting me a tractor cake for my birthday. They are too funny! I guess that is all for today but am going to get back into the BLOG of things once we get this week under our belt.

Why I Love Full Moons!

My sorry excuse for a camera doesn't even begin to show the beauty of this full moon.
Hint: Readers, this is a blatant hint that I am in desperate need of a new camera. My birthday is coming up and so is Christmas. LOL!
WHY I LOVE FULL MOONS!

1) It provides the perfect setting for reading this new Stephanie Meyer's series that involves vampires and werewolves.

2) It gives me a great laugh that whoever chose to do tax free weekend at the same time as a full moon just gave people an excuse to act even crazier this weekend while trying to save their 8.5%.

3) Animals love to have their babies when there is a full moon and I am expecting a few any day now. I will be up tomorrow morning looking for new baby calves.

4) This still provides me with great pleasure. While I was pregnant and on bed rest for 10 week straight, I could count on a full moon providing me with an excuse to make a rushed trip to the hospital. It never failed...I went into pre-term labor. Now don't get me wrong, I wanted healthy babies but after laying in bed for a couple of weeks, I was beginning to question my sanity. This was my body's way of saying "nah, nah boo-boo" at that doctor who said I had to lay in bed all the time. One of the last time I went in during a full moon, half the town of Brownwood was in the hospital having babies. I offered to labor in the waiting room with my monitors but since I was having twins, some other poor woman had to labor in there. Oh yeah, and a baby was born right beside us in the triage room during all this. Nothing but a thin curtain separating us...you should have seen Clark's face.

5) The boys and I call the moon a night light for all the animals so Cutter is happy that his cows have a full moon since he too is scared of the dark.

When it rains, it pours!

Walking to the creek!

The boy's puppy, Rowdy, tagging along.
Playing in the creek.

Afterwards!
Yay! It rained! We got 2 inches at our place. Our pastures, cattle, horses, and St. Augustine grass really needed this rain. I was so happy to wake up to rain at 5:30am. I decided to let the boys have a little fun this afternoon. We have a creek that crosses our road that leads to the house. It turns into a boy's dream mud puddle when it rains. My grandmother always let us make mud pies out of her flowerbeds after it rained so I decided to teach them all I know about mud. They were worried about getting dirty at first but I finally convinced them it would be okay. They raced through the mud, threw rocks into the creek, and finally had a really good mud fight. It all was great fun...until we had to head back to the house and wash off with the water hose. Cutter and Carsyn are not big fans of getting rinsed with the water hose. "IT'S COLD!" After a good rinsing, it was time to jump on the trampoline in their birthday suits. Sorry, no pictures of that.
On a whole other note, the boys have attended Vacation Bible School each morning this week. Today was the last day. They came home covered in tattoos. Carsyn had 5 at least. Cutter had scratched most of his off by the time he got home. I wonder what they are actually being taught at that church sometimes. The theme was "Power Lab". They had the church decorated like a scientist's lab. I think they were going to blow stuff up one day but the boys haven't mentioned it. I was happy for them to attend. They came home hungry and sleepy which led to a good nap.
