Pictures of the boys riding their first mutton. We all thought they would chicken out but they were more eager to do it than the big kids. Carsyn called Papa afterwards and said "I rode a sheep..I hit the dirt". I think PiPi was pretty proud that they got on and rode. Cutter went very first out of all the kids and Carsyn went next. Cutter would then go tell every kid "good job" and give them a high five. Glad he is already showing signs of good sportsmanship. Clark did run along side them so they didn't hit the dirt too hard. Mimi videoed it so maybe we can all watch it at the Birthday party.

Future Ag Teachers
Cutter and Carsyn are always happy to visit the Ag shop and help Daddy out with any projects that he has going on. Right now they are helping Daddy build a storage building. They tried to pull out every screw and nail in the frame work on this day. They really are the opposite of help sometimes. But like Clark said, "at least they don't have their hands in their pockets like most of my Ag students".

What One Doesn't Think Of, The Other Will!
I have allowed the boys to go outside for a few minutes by themselves as long as they stay in the backyard. I usually stand at the door and observe but on this day, I was doing laundry. It took me no longer than 5 minutes to change over but this is what happened to my yard. Cutter and Carsyn learned to turn on the water faucet and literally flooded our yard. They also ended up taking off their shorts and diapers. They were taking turns standing at the end of the spray allowing water to spray them on the bottoms. The would say "that tickles!" and run off. Little boys are so funny.

Crashed and Burned
Just to let you know that I haven't updated my site due to my computer crashing and burning. Will try to update Wednesday night from Clark's laptop. It has been crazy around here lately so please give me a few more days.

Behind...
I'm a little behind this week. It seems like we have been going non-stop and I'm pooped. I have a couple of pictures I need to post but will have to do it this weekend so check back late Sunday night. I have to brag on myself and the boys. Things are actually growing in our garden. So I apparently didn't do it too early. I was afraid the frost would kill it this week but squash(that's what I think it is) is coming up. I also think my cantaloupe is about to break through the surface. I am back to hard core potty training so you may see one long blog with Ahhhhhh! That's me screaming and hoping all of you hear me. We have told them that if they want to go to Chuck E Cheese on their actual birth date..they must be using the big potty. And he calls in at lunch to check up on the progress(thanks for being Chuck E. Clark). I talked to Chuck E. on the phone today at lunch while the boys were in their bed. When I was finished, they were quick to ask me what he had to say. So you can see I'm desperate and willing to try anything at this point. Hope everyone is doing well. I can't believe it's only 3 weeks until the boys turn 3. They have flown by.

Always expect the Unexpected!
You always have to expect the unexpected from Campbell men. I was tired today and not quite on my toes. We went to the store so that Clark could pick out the right kind of light bulbs. Ha. Anyways the boys had pulled me from one end of the store to the other to look at everything in sight. Meanwhile, Clark had picked up something that he thought would give me a good laugh. He was able to sneak it through the check out process and out into the car without me knowing it. I thought it was taking him a lot of extra time to buckle Carsyn into his car seat. Clark finally told me to look into the back seat. This is what I saw. Lauri has always said we shouldn't call the boys "the bubbas". She said it sounded like hillbillies. Now they just have the teeth to match. It was a funny end to a long day.
Gardening!
Gardening with two almost three year olds is a lot like herding cats. It took twice as long to get anything done but it wore them down. Their granny(Clark's mom) was gracious enough to get them a real shovel and hoe.(See pics above) Cutter only tried to cut off Carsyn's fingers with the hoe once and the shovel connected with very few heads. They were very excited about having a garden. We planted jalapenos, green bell peppers, onions, squash, zucchini, and cantaloupe. I have no idea whether its too early or too late to plant any of this. It's basically an experiment on so many levels. We also started some rosemary, chives, and lavender. We put some geraniums in my pots out front. I can kill every type of flower EXCEPT geraniums. Hope everyone is having a happy spring!

MiMi's Barbershop
It's open for business. She can give two types of cuts. The "Beckham"(cutter and carsyn's) or the the "Carpet tamer"(that would be my dad's hair). The love to get their hair cut..especially if it's at MiMi's. I did Carsyn's myself today so I would be brave enough to do them at home when the mullets grew back and MiMi's shop wasn't available. Posting pics.

Decided..Finally
I have finally decided that the big party will take place May 17th. I will figure a time out later but probably early afternoon(1:30ish-2pm). We will start out at the MiMi and PiPi's house for cake and ice cream. Then if the weather allows, we will go to the park and play. So bring your lawn chairs. We can't wait to see everyone. Cutter and Carsyn are so ready for their birthday. They are already running around singing "Happy Birthday" to themselves. Priceless! I've decided that I don't really like that they are turning 3 this year. It's the end of the baby era and on into big boy territory. As Carsyn would say "I sad". Hope everyone is doing good.
