Xmas Eve 2009

It's Christmas Eve 2009. The stockings are hung, the boys are in bed. Now if only we could all go to bed so Santa can arrive. The boys put out reindeer food for Santa's reindeer. Raider, our dog, proceeded to chow down on the reindeer food. In fact, he thought that the glitter/oats mixture was so good, he made sure the cats didn't get any. Here are some pictures from tonight. It's almost like being here! Without the noise.

Cutter and Carsyn throwing reindeer food in the yard. I think it took a lot of convincing for them to go out in the snow. They DO NOT like being cold.
Putting out cookies for Santa. It had to be 2 chocolate chip(Clark's favorite) and two Oatmeal Raisin(my favorite). The boys wanted to make sure Santa had plenty to take back to Mrs. Clause. Hope Santa doesn't mind eating off a new car seat box.

The following pictures are all soo cute and just show how much these brothers love each other. I couldn't pick a favorite so I shared them all. Merry Christmas.

So long

So, it's been a while. I can't quite remember what I have done the past 10 days but I know it has been a lot. It's that time of the year when things start to get harried for Ag teachers. And for a person who is married to an Ag teacher things get busy too. So that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Here are a few pictures from the boys Thanksgiving lunch. They had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, carrots, grapes, oranges, bananas, fruit salad, and turkey cookies.
Cutter and Carsyn coloring Turkeys with some cute girls. They are always talking about their love lives. The other day I mentioned I needed to stop at the Ag shop before taking them to school and Cutter replied "That's okay. We can wait to see our girlfriends". Geez! I'm in for it.
Cutter and his "feast" which he actually calls a beast.
Carsyn was so excited about this banana! I have no idea why.
On to our third child! He is growing like a weed. He is currently trying to learn to crawl. He does the backwards scoot instead. I remember Cutter and Carsyn going backwards before going forwards. I am in no hurry to get mobile.

Look at his hair. I call him alfalfa! He has a ton of hair in this one spot on the very top of his head. And of course, he still thinks UT sucks! Sorry Longhorn fans!
I made waffles one morning and he was so interested in them so I just gave him one to chew on. He went after it like a pro. You can tell he is so over baby food and ready to move on to the real thing.

Train Ride

Cutter and Carsyn in front of the train we rode. Did I mention they won a costume contest? Their faces were priceless when they realized they won.
Family photo! Even though our train car was air conditioned, it was still a little warm so Owen didn't have his lion top on. Look at all those boys. I'm one lucky girl.

The big boys and their momma having a great time together.

John, Bonnie and Brant. Isn't Brant the cutest thing? He was a pilot. I asked if he wanted to be called Maverick or Goose and he just said No!

Carsyn, Cutter, and Brant.

The boys stood at the window of the train and watched all the people load up on it. They would announce what every person was wearing. Someone asked Bonnie what a devil was and she said "a not very nice person". Boy do I know a lot of those!

How was Owen on this trip? He was great. He ate(like above) or slept(like below) or he sat in my lap and watched all the people go by. He did have a melt down when I left him with his daddy to visit the concession car to get a drink. He was not happy when I got back. Neither was Clark. The train ride almost put you to sleep. Especially if you are a tired parent. Clark and I joked about buying ourselves a ticket for a longer train ride so we could take a nap. It was very soothing. You weren't responsible for driving. Didn't have to be aware of traffic. I can't count how many parents I did see with their seats layed back and taking a little snooze while their children bounced around beside them.

We always joke how our families blend with one another. When we go somewhere, you can't really tell which kid belongs to whom because they all have the same coloring. John and Bonnie are getting a little taste of what a family of 5 feels like.

Of course the Conductor came by to punch the boys tickets. It definately reminded me of Polar Express. We also had a scary ghost story teller, a magician, and people who came by and handed candy out.

Halloween Party at MDO!

I'm sure you have all heard Carsyn or even me mention Avery also known as Cruella Deville. This is who Carsyn tells me who he is going to marry. He doesn't understand that you can't marry a distant cousin. They are such great friends. They both light up when they see each other.
This is Cutter's MDO girlfriend. I get so tickled at her costume. Her mother is the County Attorney so it's so funny. This is such a sweet picture.

Here is Cutter and Linley. Linley is Avery's sister. I loved their costume idea. Linley cried before coming to the Halloween party thinking it was going to be scary. I said " your sister is Cruella, what's scarier than that?"

Cutter bowled a strike. Did I mention this kid beat me at bowling? Ms. Susan will be so proud to know she made the blog by clapping in the background.

I didn't quite get the point of this game but yes it was the sponge toss. They threw sponges into a pan. Where was the person that was suppose to get hit in the face with wet sponges? Maybe I forgot to volunteer for that job.

Would you like some icing with that cookie? They had a cookie decorating station where they go a huge glob of icing. Most kids just licked the icing off the knife. This was on top of all the sugar they had for snacks. Took hours for the boys to come off their sugar high.
I guess I missed getting a photo of all four of us at the party. Someone got one and I will post it as soon as I get it.

5 months

This Wednesday was the mark of Owen's 5th month of life. We have survived! LOL! He is a wonderful baby. You are a true blessing.

You are such a cute 5 month old. It's been the greatest 5 months.
At 5 months you:
Roll all over the place. Back to front. Front to back. All over the room.
Giggle.
Still love Ollie the monkey.
Watch every move your brothers make.
Eat big boy food. You love peaches and green beans.
Starting to want to sit up all the time so you can see all that's going on around you.
Finally letting daddy hold you.
Love to be outside.
Love cats. You like to grab their tails and not let go.
Experienced your first Halloween. You were a cute little lion.
Still love to jump like a wild man in your jumperoo.
Still a big momma's boy.

Football, Football, Football

Carsyn practicing his touchdown dance!

Exercising!

Pumpkin Pics at Sliger's

Cutter and Carsyn-loving their little pumpkins!
I love this picture. It just shows the love Carsyn has for Owen. See Owen's fingers. He is expressing in his own baby sign language that Longhorns suck! LOL!
"Momma, I am sick of taking pictures." Literally!
"Mooom-I'm too old for this."

Sweetest boys ever!

I have to laugh at this picture. By this point we have realized that both our batteries on our cameras are dead. We've tried chasing Cutter and Carsyn all over the town of Brownwood. The baby is spitting up! I for some reason carried my sunglasses(which are on top of my head and giving me helmet hair) and my Iphone along with Owen who is not easy to carry around in the first place because he is so heavy. Not a great picture but I'm just loving being with my 3 boys. Did I mention that we also caused a pumpkin avalanche while we where there? Fun Times!
